Cinco De Mayo! Ole!
May is our Fitness month! You may ask what fitness has to do with the celebration of Mexican Independence? Well, when we focus on a healthy lifestyle and staying active while aging gracefully, we sometimes go back to basics to a belly full of laughs and a roomful of friendship...and that is how the residents celebrated that day, embracing the joy of the moment and healthfully laughing their way into the afternoon! Ole! For more details on our Route 66 walking program that we kicked off in May, please call Pam Mitchell at 333.4400.

Our Garden is Blooming!
Juniper Village was busy on this beautiful day, planting our Vegetable gardens and watching, FINALLY, the sun bloom some flowers! Our Rain Basin is certainly full and ready to use the recycled Rain water! Join us on our garden adventures as we continue to nurture our spirits this summer. As you are visiting your friends and family, we encourage you to stop by our garden beds and check in on our progress! We hope our tomatoes are as delicious as they were last year!

Easter Egg Hunt!
This Easter season we gathered again together for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. Rain or shine, we were determined to have fun! Residents, families, and children galore searched for eggs throughout the community. We had a very special Volunteer arrive to Juniper dressed to impress
in her bunny outfit, our very own Luella Seley. Not only did the kids enjoy the Easter Bunny's visit, but Luella went door to door to make sure each and every one got their Easter blessing!
Join us for our Open House this Thursday from 5pm to 7pm and you may catch a glimpse of Luella's smiling face at work! Luella exemplifies the Juniper Spirit in each way she Nurtures the Spirit of Life in the residents at Juniper Village.

Round Table Discussion
Juniper Village Senior Living is home to many Veterans who have served our country for the greater good. Those gentlemen enjoy the companionship of each other and sharing in open discussion on their love of history and connection to it. The gentleman had the pleasure of Thomas Barratt speaking at the gentlemen's quarter luncheon on the Civil War and other American wars throughout history. The gentlemen dined on chicken and fish that was catered by Art's Catering of Meadville. In true American Icon fashion, there was Apple and cherry pie a la mode for dessert! Join us for our next round table discussion. Call Pam Mitchell for details at 333-4400.

Kraynak's outing
For those who are not familiar with Kraynak's, it can be a difficult thing to describe. Imagine every childhood and creative thought during every season and place all of those images in one building, in several settings, with creatures and flowers and even sparkly glitter. People of all ages find the whole experience joyful. Since we are entering Easter season, residents went to Kraynak's and visited Bunny Lane. The photos speak for themselves, every one had such a fun filled time. Sharlene took great time examining the flowers to come up with some createive ideas for our real raised garden beds this year at Juniper. They then became "ladies who lunch"...Ladies and Paul, that is! Angelina, Sharlene, Paul, Hazel and Sophie had a fulfilling time together, staying connected to one of our communities long standing traditions!
