Chocolate Spa Day

Calling all ladies!  This May, we celebrated fitness, and with all that activity, our ladies needed a bit of pampering on Mother's Day!  Our Annual Chocolate Spa Day was full of Nurturing on many levels!  Dr. Melissa Dengler,.N.D. is a fully trained Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in homeopathy, hormone-replacement therapy, nutrition, and vitamin supplementation.  Dr. Denlger was on site to pamper with massages. Our very own Sammi volunteered her time to do manicures for the ladies as well!  The food was sweet, succulent and full of natural antioxidants for a creative take on "healthy".  I am referring to Chocolate dipped fruit and masks with cucumber eye treatments.  Every year, we get the same response...we can't wait until next May!  Well, if you think that was fun, June is right around the corner and our focus in June is celebrating Food for a healthy you! We have educational sessions on cooking with Celiac Disease and How to Combat those Crazy Cravings!  Call Pam or Mandy at 333-4400 for more details on these events.  All Community members are welcome to join these informational programs, so please join us and bring a friend!  Not on our mailing list, but want to stay connected with our daily programming?  Click the above link to see our monthly calendar of events.  Celebrate with us!

Cinco De Mayo! Ole!

Juniper Village at Meadville celebrated Cinco de Mayo in style in our Historic Lafayette Tavern!  Folks donned celebratory hats and feasted on traditional Mexican snacks!  Margaritas were abundant and the smiles were ear to ear!

May is our Fitness month!  You may ask what fitness has to do with the celebration of Mexican Independence?  Well, when we focus on a healthy lifestyle and staying active while aging gracefully, we sometimes go back to basics to a belly full of laughs and a roomful of friendship...and that is how the residents celebrated that day, embracing the joy of the moment and healthfully laughing their way into the afternoon!  Ole!  For more details on our Route 66 walking program that we kicked off in May, please call Pam Mitchell at 333.4400.

Our Garden is Blooming!

Juniper Village was busy on this beautiful day, planting our Vegetable gardens and watching, FINALLY, the sun bloom some flowers! Our Rain Basin is certainly full and ready to use the recycled Rain water!  Join us on our garden adventures as we continue to nurture our spirits this summer. As you are visiting your friends and family, we encourage you to stop by our garden beds and check in on our progress! We hope our tomatoes are as delicious as they were last year!
