Butterfly

Each morning residents of Juniper Village celebrate spiritually with Daily Word. On this very special day, our residents enjoyed a visit from Southern Care Hospice volunteers Chris and Pat. They led our Daily Word session with a presentation on the stages of maturation and migration of the Monarch Butterfly. They brought along 6 live butterflies for the residents to observe and enjoy for three days. The messages of maturation and migration were related to the well-known spiritual understanding of the old is gone, the new has come and you/we are a new creation.

Beach Glass Workshop

Recently, residents and community members attended the Beach Glass workshop by artist and author Tami Hritzay.  The community welcomed the beautiful colors of the worn smooth stones and learned how to make a piece of jewelry.  Each attendant received a reusable Juniper bag, in the spirit of recycling!  Re purposing can be a beautiful thing, especially when it involves memories of walking along a beach, sand between the toes and picking out your very own treasure for a soon to be necklace.  With out the luxury of a sandy ocean beach nearby, Tami graciously provided the "jewels".  To learn more about upcoming events, call Juniper Village at 333.4400 or review our monthly calendar through the link on the blog.
