Trees of the Season

The GFWC Meadville Woman's Club Garden Division that meets at Juniper Village took time this holiday season to participate in our Trees of the Season contest. Seven Members decorated a tree in hopes of
winning the prize, a $50 Donation to the charity of the winner's choice. Votes were cast throughout the month and the winner was announced during a small gathering last week. The Woman's Club won!

Their charity of choice was the soup kitchen, but the story doesn't stop there. When the winner was announced, almost simultaneously, Carole Hoffman and Norma McClay chimed that Beverly Nutter would want the donation spent at Valesky's Market. Valesky's is a local family owned business who is very good to the soup kitchen year round and anyone who knows Beverly would agree, she wants to continue to give back to those who give to them all year. Thank you to all who participated in the Trees of the Season! We hope to see you again next year.
